MANE EVENT CARRIAGES

We are a family-owned and operated business. Tony and Ginny live at home on their farm in Clayton, IN with their three beautiful girls and all their horses. Mane Event Carriages is truly a family affair. Our grand opening was in March of 2013 and we have been having so much fun with this service. We've met a lot of wonderful people, who enjoy our horses as much as we do. We love to share our passion with others. Between Tony and Ginny, there is over 10 years of horse experience. Maximus, his fans know him as Max, he is a very sweet horse. The photo above is of him. He is very people-orientated, always looking for a scratch or carrot. He is a Percheron draft horse, which is a French breed basically the French equivalent of the Clydesdale here. He is about 17 hands tall, which is about five and half feet tall at the top of his shoulder.

This is Dixie and she is a beautiful Clydesdale mare that has been pulling carriages for years. She is new to the team, but turns heads wherever she goes.

Are you available for photography sessions?

Yes, you will have our full cooperation for any photography. The horses are very photogenic and enjoy every minute of the extra attention. We are also available to go to photography studios for photo shoots prior or after your event, just ask. We love photos and if you have any of your event that you would like to share with us on our website, please contact us. We do like to post pictures of each of our rides but if you prefer not to be included on our website, please let us know.

What is your policy on paying for an event?

We require a $100 deposit to hold the date that you need for your event. This deposit is non-refundable. We also require that the balance be paid in full 2 weeks prior to your event. How do the horse and carriage get to an event? The horses and carriage have their own trailer that is sized just right for them. One horse and the carriage can travel in it comfortably.

When do I need to schedule with you?

To be sure that you get the date that you need us for, please book your event at least two months prior to the date. If your event is within that two month period, you can still check with us to see if we have had a cancellation.

What area do you service?

We service the greater Indianapolis area . Anything over 40 miles is available for an additional fuel charge.

What happens in the case of rain or a cancellation?

With any outdoor event, it is best to have a back up plan as the weather can be so unpredictable. We monitor the weather reports frequently. If the threat of rain is above 50%, we will call to discuss with you what you would like to do with regards to your event. If it is below 50%, we will travel to the location to see how the weather pans out. We can handle light rain. In the case of severe weather like lightning, heavy rain or high winds, we will cancel our service. Again the safety of our passengers and our horses is our main concern. If we have to cancel due to weather, we will refund the balance of your payment minus the deposit. This is so that we can cover gas and prep-work already done. If you like, you may put your deposit toward another event day.

When does my time start?

Your time starts when the carriage arrives to pick you up at your event. This time would be listed on your contract.

What about gratuities?

All gratuities are built into your package so there is no need to worry about having funds on you the day of the event to tip staff.
